Did you know you can utilize your cannabis stems instead of throwing them out? Many cannabis fans store their stems because they do, in fact, have a useable amount of trichomes that contain THC, albeit much less than cannabis flower.

Cannabis stems can be used whole or ground and wrapped in a coffee filter or tea bag, and make a great addition to tea recipes! As we continue into autumn, the days grow shorter and the nights get cooler, making this a great season for a warm, spiced tea.

Ingredients:

  • cannabis stems

  • black tea (or spiced black tea)

  • a few apple slices

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 star anise

  • 1-2 tablespoons natural honey

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, add 250-300mL water, apple slices, cinnamon, star anise, and stems. Boil for 10 minutes.

  2. Reduce heat, adding black tea to steep for 3 minutes.

  3. Strain to remove ingredients.

  4. In a mug, add a cinnamon stick and honey to taste. Pour tea immediately after preparation, let cool and enjoy.
